AFTER CARE

select your service for our suggested after-care instructions…

  • -DO NOT use any other skincare products during the first 24 hours. (Other than what was given in care kit.)

-After 24 hours, use a gentle cleanser to clean the face for the following 72 hours & gently dry the treated skin. At this point, resume use of spf.

-Avoid sweaty exercise, strenuous activity, & sun exposure for 3 days after treatment.

-You may resume your normal anti-aging skincare routine after 7 days (including Vitamin C serum, hyaluronic acid serums, retinoids, glycolyic or salicylic based cleansers etc).

-DO NOT go swimming for at least 24 hours post-treatment.

-Makeup may be applied after 24-36 hours following treatment, once the channels have closed.

*Peeling may start 3-5 days after treatment. You will notice skin dryness and flaking. This is due to an increased turnover of skin cells. Do not pick, scratch, or scrub at treated skin! Allow old skin to flake off naturally and KEEP SKIN MOISTURIZED AT ALL TIMES.

*For best results, we recommend follow-up and repeat treatments in 4-6 weeks and a series of 3 treatments depending on your personalized care plan.

    After-Care Kit:

HYDRATE – Use QUARTZ (hyaluronic acid serum) on damp skin throughout the day and through healing process.

CLEAN – After 24 hours, use Cleanser on the area.

MOISTURIZE - Apply QUARTZ and MEGA moisturizer the following morning.

PROTECT – Your MEGA sample includes sun protection with Titanium Dioxide. Keep in mind that you should continue to use a sunscreen everyday—not only the days following your procedure—as part of your skincare routine to protect your skin from sun damage and premature aging.

    Tip: Clean your makeup brushes!

  • -Do not massage or apply pressure on the treated area for 6 to 8 hours after treatment.

-Do not lay back for 3 hours after treatment

-Avoid rigorous exercise, extensive sun or heat exposure, and alcoholic beverages on treatment day

-Avoid facials and saunas for 24 hours after treatment

-Try to exercise your treated muscles for 2 hours after treatment. For example, practice frowning, raising your eyebrows, and squinting. This helps work the product into your muscles.

-Headaches may occur. We recommend tylenol if you need something.

-If you have any swelling, you may use cold compresses 10 minutes on and 10 minutes off as needed.

    - Don’t wear anything on the treatment area for 12 hours.

  • Swelling, bruising, tenderness, numbness, and areas of firm nodules may occur. Cosmetic fillers are long lasting, but not permanent. Longevity depends on the areas treated and your body’s metabolism.

-Avoid active ingredient skincare products until following day.

-Don’t massage, touch, or manipulate the injection site.

-Avoid heavy exercise the day of your treatment.

-Ice packs may be used to the treated area during the first 12 hours.

-Avoid dental work for 30 days after filler injections.

-Avoid sleeping on your side or stomach for 24 hours post-treatment to prevent dispersing the product. We recommend you sleep elevated on your back and use pillows to stabilize yourself.

-If experiencing swelling, sleep with head elevated for 2-3 days to decrease swelling. You may take acetaminophen/Tylenol, if you experience any mild tenderness or discomfort.

-Arnica Montana supplements can be taken to help bruising.

If you experience any of the following symptoms, contact our office immediately: dusky or white discoloration of injected areas, mottling or unusual bruising, severe or increasing pain, redness, increasing warmth or coolness to touch, severe swelling, itching, blisters, difficulty swallowing or smiling, fever, or chills. • This is a form of cosmetic tattooing. This method typically lasts around 1-3 years. Touch-ups are ONLY suggested if you have had proper fading and are ready for another appointment. Natural fading in shape and color is to be expected in that time frame. Fading is different for everyone.

EVERYONE HAS THEIR OWN REMEDY BUT WE SUGGEST THESE SIMPLE STEPS FOR BEST RESULTS…

    - Frequently blot area to eliminate lymph fluid.

    - Clean area with Solution #1 (witch hazel).

    - Apply small amount of Healing Balm as needed (am|pm).

    - Use Soap #2 with warm water on day 3-7, blot dry.

    - Avoid brow cosmetics for 2 weeks.

    - No sweating, picking, scratching, or tanning during healing.

JUST KEEP THE AREA CLEAN AND LET IT BREATHE!

  • -Redness & Bumps are normal.

-Immediately after your treatment, redness & bumps at the treatment area are common; these may last up to 2 hours or longer. It is normal for the treated area to feel like a sunburn for a few hours. You should use a cold compress if the sensitivity continues. Darker pigmented skin may have more discomfort than lighter skin.

-The treated area may be washed gently with a mild soap.

-No makeup, moisturizer, or deodorant for the first 24 hours.

-Exfoliate to speed up hair shedding.

-Avoid sun exposure to reduce the chance of dark or light spots for 2 months. Use sunscreen (spf 25 or higher) at all times throughout the treatment period & for 1-2 months following.

-Avoid picking/scratching or waxing the treated skin.

*Hair growth varies! On average, most will experience a level of hairless happiness after 6-9 sessions.

  • -Do not scratch or pick at the treatment area.

-Tight clothing that could rub against the tattoo.

    -Rest and Elevate

    -Avoid physical activities.

-Ice the area - 5 min at a time (make sure to wrap in a cloth or towel)

-Keep the area moisturized with A&D ointment, vaseline, or aquaphor

-Avoid using hydrogen peroxide, Neosporin®, Polysporin®, Bacitracin®, Aloe Vera on area.

-Avoid any irritants (harsh soaps, scrubs, peels, topicals)

-Stay out of the sun - also avoid tanning beds, spray tans for 1-2 weeks after treatment

-Stay dry - avoid swimming or saunas the first 2-3 days after treatment

-If your tattoo develops small blisters, do not pop, scratch, or peel them—they will be reabsorbed on their own in 7-10 days. Gently apply a thick layer of Vaseline® or Aquaphor® and lightly cover with a clean, breathable gauze pad three to four times a day until fully resolved. If your blister is large or uncomfortable, please contact us.

-Several types of irritation can occur after each laser tattoo removal treatment. It is normal for your tattoo to have minimum to moderate redness, petechiae (tiny broken blood vessels under the skin), pinpoint bleeding or bruising. To promote healing, apply a thick layer of Vaseline® or Aquaphor® (okay to mix in hydrocortisone 1%) and lightly cover with a clean, breathable gauze pad three to four times a day until fully resolved.

  • -Cleanse Gently: Your skin may be sensitive for 5-7 days. Cleanse your skin with COOL water (hot water will cause inflammation to the skin) using only your fingertips

-Moisturize Often: Repair your skin barrier with a breathable moisturizing treatment. Quartz (hyaluronic acid) will be your best friend.

-Protect Your Skin: Heat and sun exposure can cause inflammation to the skin. Remember to avoid excessive heat on the treated area and direct sun exposure of any kind, as well as tanning beds and self-tanners to the planned treatment areas for 4 weeks after treatment. If you need to be outdoors, make sure to use an umbrella or wear a large-brimmed hat, a pair of sunglasses, and use a physical sunblock
